The following presentation shows the full scope of my master's project that was handed in (to view a more brief description of the project and design aspects, please read below). The Swap Club is a business output for a clothes-swapping app aimed at Gen Z and Millenials, it demonstrates my research and understanding of marketing principles as well as brand design. I also attempted to try UI design, something I am not very familiar with but I thought it was necessary to showcase my ideas.

This mood board presents the youthful and playful look that I wanted the brand to portray. The font was hand-drawn in bubbly text, taking a more experimental approach to its logo design, I wanted the logo to be bold, fun and appealing to the younger audience that it was aimed towards. The colour palette used is fresh and bright, complementing each other well without being too bold and overpowering. The design was inspired by popular secondhand apps such as Depop and Vinted, which also focus a on youthful aesthetic to draw in their Gen Z audience.

The mockups reveal how the brand could market itself through advertising and possible merchandise, the billboard shows how savvy and short sentences using sustainable and communal terms paired with relevant imagery will entice the target audience to want to learn more about the brand, furthermore with the QR code making it easy and efficient to join.

For this project, I decided to create a rough UI design for how the app would look using Figma. The app visuals include the home page, the swap screen, the profile, the chat screen and filters. I call this a rough version because the colour palette and design style were undecided and it was created to show how it would be presented. I wanted the app to be simple and easy to navigate, using clear and readable font. It borrows from other popular app designs such as Tinder's swiping feature and Pinterest's home screen with its large images.
